Confirmed!

I am presently on a hiatus while working on my education and pivoting. As soon as I'm ready, you're on the list and will hear from me.

Why pivoting?

Well, as you might've noticed from much of my writing two+ years ago, I was still "going through it" while on a journey of self-discovery and authenticity after my Autism diagnosis in 2021. I was revitalized as a writer post pandemic, but when I took a step back, I found myself too in my own stuff to be objective about what I was doing, where I was going, and, really, what I wanted to focus on.

However, my current journey has been an exciting one.

In the past, much of what I crashed up against was allowing myself to cozy into the "oh, this is why I'm like this" trap— finding reasons why I do the things I do, and just taking "radical self-acceptance" to an unhealthy extreme by choosing to no longer attempt to change, grow, or improve something in myself or in life.

I found myself becoming complacent. My "traits" became excuses, and it became a little too easy to blame the past for my then-present situation.

I quit writing. I quit socializing. I just created an over-comfortable, solitary existence because I thought that's what was needed to protect my sensory experience.

I became intolerant to discomfort, and what's worse is that I stopped thinking about others as I continued to stew in my interiority with no real outlet any longer.

I was stagnant, but I didn't even know it.

That's not what I wanted nor who I wanted to be.

Over the past year, I've found joy in not making everything about me. I rediscovered how much I love helping others. I've been reading, taking classes, courses, and getting training during this break from publishing any form of writing online to be able to take my experiences and observations and turn them into ways to positively impact others' lives.

I'll be back, but with a focus on you this time.

Of course there will still be stories to share, but they won't always be mine and they'll serve the purpose of helping others.

I'm excited to share more with you when I return.

Thanks for joining me.

All the best,

Sara
